Monitoring Active Guards and Missed Welfare Checks
The Welfare Checks workspace separates live lone-worker monitoring from Site-level check rules. Use the live view to identify Guards who may need follow-up, and use the rules view to manage how checks are configured for each Site.
Open the Live Monitor
- Open Welfare Checks or Lone Worker from the Admin navigation.
- Select Live Lone Worker Monitor.
- Review the summary cards for active lone workers, acknowledged checks, pending responses, and missed or escalated checks.
Understand Check Status
- Awaiting Check: a check was sent and is waiting for a response.
- Acknowledged: the Guard responded to the latest check.
- Missed: the expected response was not received.
- Escalated: the missed check reached the configured escalation state.
Status describes the latest recorded check. Confirm the Guard's current condition through your company's approved communication and escalation procedure.
Search and Filter
- Search by active Guard or Site.
- Filter by All Statuses, Awaiting Check, Acknowledged, Missed, or Escalated.
- Select Reset to clear the search and status filter.
Each Guard row can show their Site, clock-in time, check ratio, latest response state, and missed-check count.
Follow Up on a Missed Check
- Confirm the Guard and Site shown in the alert.
- Review the latest status and response history available in the row.
- Use the phone action when a Guard phone number is recorded.
- Follow the Site's post orders and your company's lone-worker escalation procedure.
- Use Command Center or emergency services when the situation requires dispatch or immediate life-safety response.
Do not mark a Guard safe based only on a dashboard state. Obtain direct confirmation according to company policy.
Manage Site Check Rules
Select Site Check Rules & Schedules to search Sites and review whether welfare checks are enabled, disabled, or not configured. Use the schedule and interval filters to narrow the list, then select a Site to review or update its settings if authorized.
Rule configuration and live response monitoring are separate tasks. Changing a Site rule does not resolve an existing missed or escalated check.
When No Guards Appear
An empty live monitor can mean there are no active shifts using lone-worker welfare monitoring. If a search or filter is active, clear it before concluding that no monitored Guards are on duty.
