Live Tracking & Welfare Checks

Monitor your guards in real time with GPS tracking, geofence breach detection, and automated welfare check-ins.

Live Tracking

Navigate to Field Management → Live Tracking in the sidebar.

Map View

  • See all on-duty guards as markers on a real-time map.
  • Markers update as guards move.
  • Click any guard marker for details:
    • Guard name
    • Current site assignment
    • Clock-in time
    • Last location update
    • Speed and heading

Search & Filter

  • Search for a specific guard.
  • Filter by site.
  • Zoom to a guard's location.

Location History

  • Select a guard and a date range.
  • View their GPS trail as a polyline on the map.
  • Replay the route to see movements over time.

Geofence Monitoring

Geofences are virtual boundaries around each site (configured in Site settings).

Breach Detection

When a guard leaves their assigned site geofence during a shift:

  1. The system logs a breach event.
  2. An alert appears in the Alert Center and Breach Map.
  3. Admins can see the breach location and time.

Breach Map

Go to Command Center → Breach Map to see:

  • All active and recent geofence breaches.
  • Breach markers with guard name, time, and distance from site.
  • Click to acknowledge with notes.

Return Detection

When the guard re-enters the geofence, the system automatically records the return and calculates the total time outside the boundary.

Welfare Checks

Navigate to Operations → Lone Worker in the sidebar.

Welfare checks send periodic prompts to guards during their shifts, ensuring they're safe.

Configuring Welfare Checks

  1. Open the Welfare Checks page.
  2. For each site, configure:
    • Enable/Disable — toggle welfare checks on or off.
    • Check Interval: 30, 60, 90, or 120 minutes.
    • Schedule: All Shifts, Night Shifts Only, or Always.
    • Response Timeout — how long the guard has to respond before escalation.
  3. Save.

How It Works

  1. At the configured interval, the guard's phone displays a welfare check prompt.
  2. The guard taps "I'm OK" to confirm.
  3. If the guard doesn't respond within the timeout:
    • The system escalates to the supervisor.
    • An alert appears in the admin dashboard.
  4. All check-ins and missed responses are logged.

  • See check-in history per guard.
  • View response times.
  • Identify guards who frequently miss check-ins.

Panic Alerts

Navigate to Field Management → Alert Center for panic alert monitoring:

  • Guards trigger panic alerts by holding the SOS button in their app.
  • The alert appears with:
    • Guard name and location
    • Timestamp
    • Site name
  • Acknowledge the alert with notes.
  • Dispatch a response.
  • View alert history.

Tips

  • Enable welfare checks for solo guards — it's a critical safety feature.
  • Set shorter intervals for high-risk sites (30 minutes vs. 120 minutes).
  • Monitor the Breach Map during shifts to catch problems early.
  • Use location history to verify guard patrol routes after the fact.
