Incidents & Investigations

The Incidents module captures security events, while Investigations provides a structured workflow for follow-up and resolution.

Accessing Incidents

Navigate to Field Management → Incidents in the sidebar.

Incident Categories

  • Panic Alert
  • Theft
  • Medical Emergency
  • Fire
  • Trespassing
  • Vandalism
  • Other

Logging an Incident

  1. Click Log Incident (or use the command palette: press G, search "Log Incident").
  2. Fill in:
    • Category — select from the list above.
    • Priority: Critical, High, Medium, Low.
    • Site — where it happened.
    • Description — detailed account of the event.
    • Date & Time — when it occurred.
    • Guard — who reported or was involved.
    • Location — GPS coordinates or description.
  3. Attach evidence:
    • Photos
    • Videos
    • Documents
  4. Click Submit.

Incident Statuses

Managing Incidents

  • Filter by status, category, priority, or date range.
  • Search by description or guard name.
  • Click any incident to view full details, evidence, and timeline.
  • Update Status as the situation progresses.
  • Add Notes for internal documentation.

Investigations

For incidents that need deeper follow-up, create an investigation.

Accessing Investigations

Navigate to Field Management → Investigations.

Creating an Investigation

  1. Click Create Investigation (or create from an incident's detail page).
  2. Fill in:
    • Title
    • Priority: Critical, High, Medium, Low
    • Description
    • Link to Incident (optional)
  3. Assign an Investigator — select a team member.
  4. Save.

Investigation Statuses

Investigation Workflow

  1. Open → Admin creates the investigation.
  2. Assigned → An investigator is designated.
  3. In Progress → Investigator works the case — adds evidence, notes, interviews.
  4. Pending Review → Investigator submits findings for review.
  5. Completed → Management approves and closes.

Adding Evidence & Notes

  • Click an investigation to open its detail view.
  • Add timeline entries documenting each step.
  • Attach photos, documents, and files.
  • Add notes (visible to admin team only).

Alert Center

For real-time emergency monitoring, visit Field Management → Alert Center:

  • Live map showing active panic alerts.
  • Alert history with timestamps.
  • Vehicle deviation alerts.
  • Acknowledge alerts with notes.
  • Dispatch response.

Incident Map

Visit Overview → Map to see incidents plotted geographically:

  • Filter by incident type or date.
  • Click markers for details.
  • Identify hot-spots visually.

Tips

  • Set critical priority for incidents involving injury, weapons, or active threats.
  • Create investigations for all incidents that require follow-up beyond the initial report.
  • Check the Alert Center regularly, especially during night shifts.
  • Use the incident map to identify recurring problem areas.
