Company-Wide Standards

  1. Open the admin sidebar and navigate to Settings > Uniform & Dress Code
  2. Define your company's baseline uniform requirements:
    • Required Items — List each item guards must wear (e.g., company shirt, black trousers, steel-toe boots, ID badge)
    • Appearance Standards — General grooming and presentation expectations
    • Prohibited Items — Items guards may not wear on duty (e.g., personal jewelry, open-toe shoes)
  3. Click Save to apply these standards company-wide

Site-Specific Requirements

Some sites may have additional or different uniform needs. To set site-specific requirements:

  1. Navigate to Sites and select the site
  2. Open the Uniform Requirements tab
  3. Toggle Custom Requirements to override the company-wide defaults
  4. Add any additional required items (e.g., high-visibility vest, hard hat, client-branded patch)
  5. Click Save

Guards assigned to that site will see the site-specific requirements in their mobile app.

Inspection Checklists

Supervisors can verify uniform compliance using inspection checklists:

  1. Navigate to Inspections in the admin sidebar
  2. Click New Inspection and select Uniform Check as the inspection type
  3. Select the guard being inspected
  4. The checklist automatically populates based on the requirements for the guard's current site
  5. Mark each item as Compliant or Non-Compliant
  6. Add notes for any non-compliant items explaining what needs to be corrected
  7. Click Submit Inspection

The inspection result is recorded on the guard's profile for reference.

Photo Documentation

Capture visual records of uniform compliance or violations:

  1. During an inspection, use the Add Photo button to take or upload a photo
  2. Photos are attached directly to the inspection record
  3. Each photo is timestamped and linked to the specific guard and site
  4. Photos provide clear evidence for follow-up conversations or disciplinary actions if needed

Compliance Tracking

Monitor uniform compliance across your organization:

  1. Navigate to Reports > Uniform Compliance
  2. View compliance rates by site, guard, or time period
  3. Identify guards with repeated non-compliance issues
  4. Track whether corrective actions have been effective

The compliance dashboard highlights trends and flags guards or sites that fall below your acceptable compliance threshold.

Uniform Inventory

Keep track of uniform items issued to guards:

  1. On a guard's profile, open the Uniform tab
  2. Record items issued, including size, quantity, and date issued
  3. When a guard returns items (e.g., upon separation), mark them as returned
  4. Track items that need replacement due to wear or damage

This helps you manage costs and ensure guards have what they need before starting at a new site.

Tips

  • Communicate uniform requirements clearly during guard onboarding
  • Conduct uniform inspections regularly, not just when issues arise
  • Keep photo documentation for all non-compliance findings
  • Replace worn or damaged items promptly to maintain professional standards
